A homeowner with windstorm/wind mitigation  insurance can often submit the results of this report to their insurer and can obtain discounts on their homeowner insurance.

A Roof Condition Certification is performed and issued by a home inspection company to certify that a roof is free of defect and should perform as designed for a certain amount of time.
